Cătălin Samara has been an Executive Board Member in Carrefour Romania starting 2011, holding a series of strategic positions inside the company, from Regional Hypermarkets Director to Chief Marketing Officer, Digital and Ecommerce, Client Service and Omnichannel.

In 2017, he joined BRINGO team as Business Administrator, thus contributing to the fast evolving of an unique business model designed to provide an exclusive personal shopping experience. Starting in one city (Bucharest), in less than 3 years BRINGO reached 24 cities around the country and has recently been included in a Top 10 startup teams in Romania, by The Org, ranking #3.

In his current position as Chief Operating Officer, Cătălin Samara is in charge with the operations of all brick and mortar formats of Carrefour Romania: hypermarkets, supermarkets, convenience and Supeco stores. While managing the assets and the cash-line teams and processes, he is also responsible for the Omnichannel approach of the company's business model, including in store ecommerce strategy and digital transformation operations.

After graduating from Ovidius University in Constanta, he joined Blaise Pascal University in Clermont-Ferrand, France, then took up a series of programmes at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), business education school in Lausanne and London Business School.
